discovery, improvement, consolidation,

Good base for mountaineering.
Snow/ice slope gradient: 50° max
1500 m ascent max/per day;
Rock difficulty : 4+max
Difficult (D) to Very difficult (TD);
Very good base for mountaineering
Snow/ice slope gradient : 70° max
1500 m ascent max/per day;
Rock difficulty 5 et plus.

4 to 5a
EN classification :
4a to 4b
USA classification : 5.5 to 5.7
FR classification :
5b to 6a
EN classification :
4c to 5b
USA classification : 5.8 to 5.10-

Winter
mountaineering
Gully (Snow/ice)
Incline : 60° to 70° max.
Height : 500 m max
5 to 6 hours max.
Mixted gully
(snow/Ice/Rock)
Incline : 60° to 80° max.
Height : 600 m max
6 to 7 hours max.
Mixted gully
(snow/Ice/Rock)
Incline : 60° to 90° max.
Height : 800 m max
More than 7 hours.
Ice climbing
Grade III to IV- max
Incline: 70° to 80° max
Short section at 80°
from 10 m max
Grade IV to V- max
Incline : 80° to 90° max
Short section at 90°
from 10 m max
Grade V to VI max
Incline: 85° to 90° max.
Long sections à 90°
from 35 m max.
Off Piste skiing
Heliskiing
To find red runs easy.
To go off piste occasionally beside piste. Heliskiing is possible.
To find black runs easy.
To go off piste often
To want to cover varied terrain.
Heliskiing is a definate option.
To be at ease on all pistes.
To frequently go off piste in all snow conditions.
To want to develop skiing 30° to 45° max gradient slopes
Heliskiing is for you
Ski Touring
First steps in ski touring;
Ability to ski in varied snow conditions.
Good command of ski touring
(3 to 4 days minimum )
At ease in all snow conditions.
Very good command of ski touring
(7 to 8 days minimum)
Very good level in all conditions.
